Besides doing so you should also keep the soil watered and weed-free. Newcomers can start a garlic farm if dedication, managing the team, and maintaining the farm are in preference.

how to start garlic farm

A little bit of research is necessary before starting garlic farms. Usually, garlic is planted from October to February. Keep track of timing when the first garlic shoots occur. It starts appearing from January onwards. Take care of them for better growth. Don’t forget that garlic farming is done in colder seasons in which the first 1-2 weeks must have 0-4C. It is the physiologically suitable period when plants do bulb formation. Timing and climatic impact must be understood better.

Try to arrange a team of workers for maintaining garlic plants and weed control works. It requires a mechanical inter-row cultivation process. It can be done by hand hoeing as well. But the latter option is not feasible if the farm is bigger in size. Once this basic preparation completes starting the secondary stage of farming. Plants welcome the spring season and it is a suitable time to apply herbicide. Such arrangements must be done for suppressing weeding.
