New Survey Showed McDonald’s is “most hated” Brand in UK

British people have expressed a huge dislike over the McDonald’s brand, saying that “were surely not loviv’ it!”

This is based on a survey result which showed that the fast-food chain if the most hated brand in UK, with only 36 percent likeability factor.

A new study conducted by British marketing experts showed that fast-food giant McDonald’s is the “Most Hated” brand in the United Kingdom.

Based on the study, the American fast-food chain is the least likable store among British consumers, with some 46 percent of the respondents topped the brand as the least-liked brands in the country.

McDonald’s was followed by Tesco in the poll results then Coca-Cola and Primark, a discount fashion store chain. The survey was conducted by the marketing research firm to distinguish popular brand names operating in UK.

At the same time, the research company pointed that several consumers rated the brands into equal measures in terms of its attractiveness to consumers. An example of which is Coca-Cola and Tesco, which were checked as the sixth and seventh most attractive products in UK, respectively.

The results were in between with Tesco rating 66 percent likeability while Coca-Cola scored 51 percent. McDonald’s posted a relatively low 36 percent in terms of popularity, which according to experts, due to its low health offerings to consumers and its market dominance.

“Obesity and the Americanization of the high street are the two major factors why British people don’t like McDonald’s that much,” Glasgow's Red Spider brand consultancy expert Charlie Robertson said.
