    Dear Friends, I was one of the person asked Question in this forum. I am happy to inform you all that i have taken a step ahead by purchasing 2 cattle which can milk 8 & 7 ltrs in the morning & evening to start with & Planning to increase to 100 ltrs in 6 months time. have made temporary shelter with thatched roof in subsequently to get a concrete shelter with "Just a Step in to Step Ahead". Wish all the same. I have an advantage of having 12 acres on wet and dry land. Details of dairy farming and loan details can be obtained from "NABARD" technical officers of your nearest bank branch.

    Respected Sir, I want to start a dairy farming business at Gandhinagar, Gujarat initially with 10 buffaloes. Then gradually I would like to expand my business to 200 buffaloes. I need your kind guidance for the same.
    1) How much land do I need to accommodate 200 buffaloes?
    2) How much milk does a buffalo give in a day?
    3) Is it really a profitable business in terms of money?
    4) Who will buy this much of milk everyday produced in my farm?
    5) Is it necessary to grow grass for the food in my farm only to make more profit?

    sir, I am a B.E(MECH). I have a plan to start a diary farming at IMPHAL(manipur) with around 5 t0 10 cows initially and like to expand it to nearly 150 to 200 cows within 3 years. So plz give your advice for following.
    1)how much milk can an avg breed cow give in a day?
    2)how much land required for 200 cows?
    3)how much money required to start this business?
    4)can we get alternate fodder in market or should i have to grow grasses for feed?
    5)what is the life expectancy of a milk giving hybrid cow?
    6)how can i get very good hybrid cow?
    7)what is the average cost of hybrid cow?
