  • Imtiaz beginner adviser said on May 24, 2012
@Adeel, Hi, I think you have to be careful of what kind of cuisine and concept you are trying to offer. This is especially the case in Dubai where there's an over saturation of Indo Pak cuisine and restaurants in general. Try to focus on a specific concept such as karahi or grill / tandoor specialties. You can also offer regional cuisines to vary your menu. The worst thing you can do is have a mixed menu of Indian / Pak / Continental (if you mean European), that will show the customer that you have no idea what you are doing and will be put off from your restaurant.

Dubai is a tough market as I've seen with some to UK restauranteurs who are not doing too well. You have to also think about your target market is it going to be the tourists, locals or expat residents. Also your location is key in attracting the right customers. You should have at least £75,000 / $90,000 of capital to go about your venture.

Dears, I have planned to start a North Indian restaurant in Saudi Arabia. I want to know how many cooks need to be hired from India to start a Restaurant. What are the categories needed to be fitted inside cooking place. For eg: For making Tandoor a separate cook is needed, for barbq also same, etc. How can I get excellent cooks from India?.
  • Joy beginner adviser said on June 4, 2012
@Hasina Jan ...If you want to start Indian Restaurant in Sweden first you have to get Indian food recipes and what kind of Indian restaurant you want to open please let me know but I give you one advice please think about this like India or any kind restaurant have too much food cost and need more employer but if you try for fast food restaurant like Pizza, Burger, Past, Salad, Sandwich, Fresh Juice ETC there is less employee and no more extra food cost or any waste food cost when customer order only you make food but Restaurant all ways have to preparation food and Capital for restaurant depend on your quality food and your food equipment ....Good Luck

@Jani, I have gone through your profile but dont understand the reason why you want to sell the restaurant. Well i personally feel it is quite difficult to dispose of the restaurant immediately, but you can give the restaurant on lease to some one who is locally with all the documents duly signed before the attorney. If you need any type of assistance please write me so that I may be able to help you.

@iqbal ahmed, Iqbal ahmed ji, I have gone through your profile and understand your problem that you are fresher that is having no experience or no idea in restaurant business. Well i suggest you is that restaurant business is very competitive and risky business. Still if you are interested to set up restaurant my personal advice is to first begin with a small snacks eatery business self only where no partner is required ie. south indian snacks:DOSA, IDLY, UTTAPAM, VADAS/INDIAN CHATS/BURGERS etc where you can hire one or two persons and rest of the space you can lease out to some person where you can get regular income every month. If you need any assistance please write me/call me  I may be able to help you.

@pradeep, I have gone through your profile and understand that you are fresher and dont have any prior experience in Restaurant Business.Well I must tell you that setting up of any type of Restaurant is very risky these days 70% peoples fail and loose their investment within 6 months that is all due to lot of competition/lack of investment and so many other reasons. First of all please write me what you are doing at this moment and the area of the space, send photograph of location and how much you are willing to invest. Then only I will be able to assist you in a right way.

Hi!. I am planning to set up a new food business (restaurant/take-away etc) in Bangalore. I want to do it on a partnership basis (50% or any other mutually agreed proportion). I am looking out for a like-minded partner to become my partner and start this. I can be at Bangalore myself personally and run the business myself if required. So I am also willing to work with an investor. The startup is estimated ± 8.00 Lacs including working capital. Kindly let me know if you are interested to discuss such a proposition. If yes, I may meet you in Bangalore as well. Please email at bhaskar.india@gmail.com Regards
