Of course, you still need to do business web site marketing, or more commonly known as search engine marketing. It is called such because you are learning the mechanism to display your website in a favorable position among the search engine result pages. This is very important, as these search engines are used extensively by the populace to find the information they need.

There are two ways that you can do that for your business. These two ways are keyword optimization and link building. Collectively, these two methods are known by the name “search engine optimization.” They serve as your lifelines for your Internet marketing campaign. If you don’t do these two properly, you might as well give up on your Internet marketing.

Keyword Optimization

One of the primary methods of search engine optimization is to optimize your website with keywords. You see, one of the ways that a search engine ranks your site is according to your site’s relevance to the keyword and other related keywords. To do this, it must make sure that you are indeed discussing the keyword by counting how many times the keyword is mentioned in your website, along with other related keywords through semantic indexing.

Make sure to include content that mentions the keyword a certain number of times in its body. Take care not to over optimize the article, however, as this would lead to your site being marked as spam and ultimately banned from search engine results.

Link Building

Another factor that a search engine considers in ranking your website is the number of quality links pointing back to you. This means that you should be able to procure a number of links from websites related to your niche, or from sites that have high page rank or PR in search engines. Luckily, you can do this through publishing articles in article directories. You can also try and buy links from websites within your niche, or look for people willing to give reciprocal or to trade links with you, remember these steps are bit risky as search engines consider this to be black hat tricks and penalize on cut.
