My friend, young gentleman, just got his little truck towed. He said that the tow company would not let him have his truck yesterday and it would have to be kept overnight. And just one night it was $250. That is obviously a lie and a con job. What do you think about this. Where should he report this and how should he get his money back minus a reasonable rate?

How do I go about getting city contracts for abandon, illegally parked (tow away zone) and judgment tows for cars. This is all in reference to new york city..any and all info. will be appreciated. gmjr711@gmail.com

But i'm trying to figure out what do i need to start a business loan wise. And where do i look to get a loan or what type of loan to get. And how hard is it to get license and bonded. Last question is it better to do impounds or get a flatbed.

For tow insurance in California only here is some information:

    1. You need to make sure that your insurance coverage meets all of the following criteria required by your state. For example, a minimum 750,000 liability is mandatory.

    2. You need to work with a company that knows how to correctly file your MCP number with the DMV to keep you from getting suspended.

    3. You need a carrier that does both truck liability insurance and on the hook insurance.

    4. If you plan on having a tow yard (especially if you want to get on rotation with different agencies) you will need garage keepers and a General liability policy too.

    5. If you have questions regarding towing insurance in California you may contact me by email at cdavies@farmersagent.com for further details.

I am in Tennessee and have a flatbed with wheel lift and strapless wheel lift that I want to sell. Both trucks are in great shape and are perfect for a new company wanting to keep cost down. Can be purchased separately or together. Includes all hooks, safety chains, jump packs, air tanks, jacks and tools. The trucks were used to start a new company and are capable of making good money, with low maintenance required. Excellent condition inside and out. If interested please e-mail me at tigger_trouble3@hotmail.com and I will send you pictures of the trucks

Freeport, Illinois ( two hours from Chicago). I had repoed for a company for 3 1/2, so just a word of advice to those of you that are thinking of getting in to the recovery (repo business). It is not always the easiest and safest thing to do. Some people can get very upset when you are taking their property. They will scream, push, hit, kick, throw things at you, and even pull guns or knives. Also please keep in mind that when you are working for a flat fee when picking something up that you can easily loose money. You will drive by and the item is not their, the people aren't home, you have to skip trace (track them down) because they moved, and there is always the ones that have hidden the item and you might not get it. So please think it over because these things can easily happen, you can loose money on certain jobs, and you aren't always safe.

Hi! I have a Hot Rod shop and need to have a towing business for projects that I need to pick-up, deliver or transport. I'm located in Colorado Springs, Colorado and interested in finding small business grants or government low interest loans to expand my shop. Please send me any information, contacts or e-mails where I might find such. Thanks! Sammy's Chop Shop 7579 Red Mountain Drive Colorado Springs, Colorado 80920-3721

Me and my parents would like to start up our own towing business. I've looked at some tow trucks that are for sale around texas, however, I would like to know what do I need to start. Licenses or capital. I live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas. Any information would be helpful. Thank you!
