    Arevo has developed and tested a bio-secure recirculating zero water exchange shrimp farming system. Shrimp are grown in greenhouses to totally control water quality and other vital parameters. Results have been phenomenal in the four years of trials and harvests. Arevo constantly grew 5kg/cubic meter. One of the other significant aspects is that our farms are one tenth that of open shrimp farms. Visit Arevo at www.arevo-aquaculture.com

  • roosen slavchev said on October 22, 2010
    Hi, My name is Rosen Slavchev and I work as General Manager of SKARIDKI LTD. Our company is newly established in Bulgaria in March 2010 and founded with a single goal - to build the first shrimp farm in the country. Our studies in this area showed that the farm should be closed the whole year-round taking into account climatic conditions and geographical situation of the country. The company has several different types of buildings and size, but we need your help to choose the most appropriate solution in this area, provided this does not pose any difficulty on your side. Being familiar with the history and the activities of your company as well as our current goal is to have the opportunity to be your future loyal partner. Considering the risks of local and global market, we decided to start the construction of possible small-sized farm and producing a smaller quantity production and if the project succeed, then to develop our activities in a larger size. Therefore, we shall also rely on your advice. In view of the experience of the largest manufacturers in Thailand and Brazil, our aim is to promote the finished product in restaurants, in fresh form and at affordable price. We would be very grateful, if you could advise us exactly what kind of shrimp is most suitable for cultivation. We would like to purchase from you all the means required to implement this project. For this purpose I would like to list a few basic details that we still have no full clarity about:
    • BUILDING PLANS - water supply, power supply, isolation and other details, if any;
    • Purchase of larvae and method of delivery;
    • feed and other food additives;
    • MEDICAL drugs in case issues arise;
    • ALL NECESSARY TECHNOLOGY AND THEIR PRICE
    Thank you in advance for your cooperation and your time! Kind Regards, Rosen Slavchev

    @trent, do you have any prior experience?
    - You need to buy good juvenile shrimp.
    - Hatching is the most important and difficult part of the shrimp farming.
    - Your tank should be 2.5-5 ft depth, temp should maintain at least 70 degree Fahrenheit and tank should be sloping with excellent drainage facilities. water quality should be maintained.
    - If you have a large area and don't exchange water very often then your density could be 2-4 per sqm. You can increase the head count if you have better water circulation system, this can go upto 30 per sqm as well.
    - Feeding the fishes is also important. You have various grade of foods for various sizes and you need to feed differently to different size fishes.
    - You also need to get proper license for selling the farmed shrimp, you can getaway without a permit if it is really small.

    Dear Sirs, I want to start small project of black tiger farming. can you help me by technology assistance. Thank you in advance Best regards
  • James expert adviser said on March 5, 2011
    @Mourad, it is a very good decision to start black shrimp farming as the demand of black tiger shrimp is increasing in all over the world. There are two types of farming tied to this. Are you planning for brood stock hatchery for producing seeds or you want to grow from seeds? They both have different process and profit is reasonable for both of them. I also need to know your budget.

    Dear Mr Jestin James, Have a nice day and thank you for your reply. I’m planning for brood stock hatchery for producing seeds indoor only. About the budget we want to start with 100,000 USD Please note that all the construction (pools, aeration, pumps ...) we can do it because we have a company who specialized on this kind of installation. Best regards, Chaabane Mourad
