To be a part of the 20%, you have to be competitive by possessing the following: monetary drive, pro-activity, honesty, resilience and the listening ability as well. By having the right attitude, you can succeed in attracting candidates and positioning them in the right job.
The following are just some of the things you need to perform as a recruitment consultant: using marketing business development and sales technique to further attract businesses from the other client companies, building relationship with the clients, enhancing a good understanding everything regarding the client companies which include their industry, work and culture, advertising vacancies by placing and drafting adverts in several media such as magazines, websites and newspapers, headhunting, completing the search for the database of the candidate, application receiving and reviewing, checking the qualifications of the candidates, briefing the candidates about their responsibility and salary, preparing the Curriculum Vitae, organizing the interviews for the requested candidate by the client, informing the candidates about the interview results, negotiating the rates of the pay and salary, finalizing the client-candidate arrangements, offering advice to both the candidates and clients and reviewing the policies of the recruitment.
