Dear Karthikeyan, You can give Concentrated feed 20-30 Days before Monsoon season as most of the Goats / Sheep Mate during this season. Usually 4 Bucks are enough for 100 Goats but you can bring 2 More for fast mating so that all kids you can get at same time so it is easy for you to manage and sell in the market.

@Byamugisha Julius, 1st decide you want to go for Breeding or Fattening Program. On an Average Goats eats 10 % of Body weight.

@Aamir abbas, Go for either Beetal or Local Goats

@Emmanuel, First of all check which product is more in demand in our area. i feel Fish and Goats can do good business any where in our country as Pig is not even by Muslims and Hindus and regarding poultry it is very difficult to compete and survive in poultry as big mafia is there who will increase or decrease chicks and feed price according to their interest so that small farmers depend upon them or they quit the business. if you need Goat project report i will provide you. Hello Syed Bhai, I’m very much interested to start Goat farming, but I don’t have much knowledge on it. So, would you please suggest me where can I get the training on Goat farming in Chennai (India). Thanks in advance.

Chicago,IL.60611 USA. THE VETERINARY EXTENSION officer for your location should be able to give information. Also try at the Veterinary College near you. For the person in Namibia only people with local knowledge can give authentic information. in that case go to any near by Audit firm like Price water house or Copers & Lybrand.

Sir, I want to start goat farming in Kerala (India). How much land is required to raise 100 goats along with fodder farming. How much investment required to kick start with 100 goats. How long will it take to get the first net income. How much revenue can be generated with 100 goats in a year (approx considering the rearing is good). How many laborers required for 100 goats. How much support can you expect from Govt. agencies and NGOs in Kerala. Is there a tax exemption / subsidy for Animal Husbandry.

I am a citizen of Kampala, Uganda in East Africa. I would like to start up a goat farm which will subsequently be used as a business for goat's meat and goats themselves. I have not acquired land yet but wish to start soon. How can I come up with a simple business plan? Is it possible for you to share with me a simple plan for such a venture? I plan to start with 10 goats of good quality and measure output as they multiply. I will be glad to hear from you. Thank you, Yvonne

@Joseph Paul, you need at least 4 acres of land for 100 Goats. Cost will capital & running.

Capital including live stock purchase, shed, accommodation for labours, feeders, machines etc. running means salary of labour, vaccination, light , water, seeds etc. Generation of profit / money you can get from our project report at 9989579586. for 100 animals you need  1 skilled + 1 un-skilled. Nabard will give you subsidy if u apply for loan

@Venkataraman, Take 2 acre of land min or purchase according to your budget. in this 2 acre of land u can grow fodder for 50 goats. for loan apply through local bank.

Capital Cost Comprises of amount required for purchasing the Live Stock, constructing the shed, accommodation and toilets for you and your labor, water troughs and feeders, fodder cutting machine and other small expenses like ears tags, feeding and watering stuff if you have your own land. Running Cost includes cost incur from salaries of labour, vaccination, light and water, transportation and fodder maintenance.

Risk - Diseases during months of rain, procuring diseased animals, stolen by thieves & your people, marketing. it all can be minimized if you plan and manage it properly. Profit per year 10 - 15%. You can get all information from my project report

@Murali, Goat farming is good but you have to care of this business other wise you will loose all the money if you bring disease goats or your goats catch diseases but one thing if you give regular vaccination, take care of your goats like our children we will not loose even 1 goat. please contact us at 9989579586

@Shahrukh and Mohammed, No body will not blindly invest unless they know you in past. make project report and approach bank for loan.
