I also have a future plan to go into turkey, grasscutter, piggery. My aim for venturing into these are to provide meat and eggs and to provide employment. I have over Five(5)years experience backed with regular training and retraining programmes to improve my ability. I need a monitored grant to expand the farm. I have a farm project that produces Maize, Beans, Sorghum, Soyabeans and Cassava. Emerging from over 21 years of civil war, Southern Sudan is in urgent need for economic recovery. The government of the Republic of South Sudan and its development partners recognize the role of the private sector as the main driver of the wheel of economic development. Agriculture is potentially one of the pillars of the economy in terms of revenue generation perhaps coming second to the oil exports. South Sudan is an inherently high potential region for the improvement of Agriculture given its geo-location with fertile soils and most areas receiving bimodal rainfall. Despite all these natural endowments, the Ministry of Trade and Commerce estimates that the country imports a staggering 80% of all its food supplies from neighboring countries-notably Uganda and Kenya. The problem is now exacerbated by the influx of returnees from the Diaspora and Sudan following the cessation in July 2011. It is against this background that the Farm Project is setup to contribute towards bridging the huge gap between demand and supply in the young country. May know how I can benefit from your organisation. Thanks

I am an animal scientist and a practising poultry farmer. I have a small farm where i raise 1000 laying birds. I am fascinated by organic farming and have made serious efforts in raising fund for this project and also expand my poultry farm. I am a very hardworking person and very passionate about farming. Accessing this loan from USDA would go a long way in redefining how farming is done in Nigeria. I am going to empower youths as regards capacity building in farming thereby reducing the rate of unemployment in the country. My farm is located in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. Thanking you in anticipation.

I am an American, I thought the USDA stood for United States Department of Agriculture, AM I WRONG? Not that other countries do not need funding but what about taking care of home?I need money to buy land for farming to be able to support my family, I am a hard worker and have been farming on a mobile home lot! I do not think I should have to spend $45,000 in school loans for a small family farm that would only gross that much a year! This is ridiculous.

I am in Pietermaritzburg, KZN in South Africa. Currently I am teaching and growing vegetables on large scale is one of my subjects. I grew up in a farm and that is how I develop the love of farming especially piggery as I was hands on. My aim is to buy an already running farm with piggery or dairy. What is good in South Africa is when buying an operating farm, the previous owner should mentor you at least for six months then you can be left on your own as an emerging farmer with operating expertise from the commercial farmer. I am also attending some training in pig farming and also have completed entrepreneurship skills offered by the ABSA and ITHALA banks through SEDA from the Government. That is why I am confident that I can start at any given time.

Hi, this is masud rana, from Bangladesh. We are some people started fish farming together. But our average lifestyle is below standard & for why this is difficult to increase our farming. If we get financial support specially loan & proper training/guideline, we can change a regional people lifestyle. Here people are industrious but live below standard. Our location is in Chandpur district in Bangladesh. Hope a positive response.
