A few details regarding pharmacy in retail :
To open a pharmacy shop in India, You need to be a pharmacist. the minimum qualification to become a pharmacist is D.pharm(diploma in pharmacy) which is of two years. After obtaining a pharmacist certificate and licence, you can open a pharmacy shop. In india it is a compulsory rule that a pharmacist must be present during the pharmacy shop's working hours.
A pharmacy shop need a space of 150 sq.ft and above.
THE TOPMOST CONCERN FOR A SUCCESSFUL PHARMACY SHOP IS 'LOCATION'.
there should hospitals or clinics nearby.
You can also open in a hospital by taking respective permissions from the hospital.
You also have to fulfill the concerned paperwork from government(registration, etc).
After clearing all the formalities, you have to modify your shop in such a way that in runs successfully.
RUNNING A PHARMACY IS A KIND OF HELP TO THE PEOPLE. STICK ON TO THIS PRINCIPLE TOO.
Construct a good furniture with shelves and glass displays.
Have a refrigerator.
A CCTV Camera for safety. A/C is optional.
Order the medicines,cosmetics,etc. with a bill.
Have a computer with internet connection. Enter the purchase details in a pharmaceutical software. With this you can maintain stock and can make bills for every sale.
Wholesale representatives will take your order and supply the medicines on daily basis. Read the prescription without mistakes.
You can do BP and sugar check for customers at a nominal charge.
Drug inspectors inspect the shop and stock on regular intervals.
Running a pharmacy is a good humane help as well as a profitable business.
