    Hi. I have been working as a design consultant in the construction industry for about seven years now. I too, like many others here, am starting to research on a startup steel supply business.

    My suggestion is that we form a group of people serious about the project and do a collaborative research. This will reduce the load on each person and we can then effectively develop a strategy to either start our own business individually, or form an alliance and start a group company. My credentials: M.S. from a reputed 1st tier university in USA. Currently working as a structural design engineer in Washington DC.

    Venezuela. We are interested in building a micro mill for the production of rebars 3/8" to 1" for a new factory we are going to build in Venezuela. Our initial goal is to produce 50,000 tons a year. We are in the process of putting together the Business Plan.

    From 1960 to 1995 we had the second largest foundry in Venezuela producing gray iron automotive parts and cast iron soil pipe and fittings. The foundry produced 15,000 tons per year using endothermic electric induction melting and holding furnaces and Disamatics for molding. We never made steel rebars. However we see and interesting opportunity right now in Venezuela due to several production and market factors for the production of rebars of small diameters utilizing the principle of the micro-mill.     I am interested in manufacturing Iron rods for construction purposes are rolling mills is the best option in Karachi Pakistan I need an advice for the location and the sellers of scrap who can give me a steady supply of the raw material as I need to have a manufacturing capacity of at least 20 tons/day to start with small amount of cash without financing from the bank.     dear sir, we are basically a ss sheets scrap dealer in chennai. now am looking to start a steel mini rolling mill near by chennai. i would like to manufacture a tmt rods from the billets. so please guide me how much i would invest at the beginning and from basic level to finished goods level i.e how to get the billets and how it need to process, the land space needed at starting stage, how to procure the machine etc... thanks & regards karthick vasan 9952181574
