Donut shops can be opened for as little as $25000. This price reflects all used equipment. Or, you can spend $25,000 on just one new hobart 80qt mixer. Most people that want to open a donut shop generally have no experience and fail because they can't afford the learning period. What are you trying to accomplish? A chain of stores and a marketable franchise or a mom and pop store that does under 200k per year? My number is (727)288-3332 or email me at Vermontderek@hotmail.com. I can help with any stage of development

A donut training center would be a great idea. Does anyone want to open a donut shop with a kitchen large enough for training? You must learn to bake if you ever want to be successful at owning a donut shop. The bakers are your highest expense and carry tons of weight towards you being successful.

To all donut lovers that want to be in the donut business. 20 hour days in the beginning are common. The more research you do on your own will help you with the challanges that are coming. You MUST have an experienced donut maker. It takes 6 weeks to learn to roll dough. There are several good videos on youtube and you can buy a dvd from Ed Chastain. This guy is the best and really easy to learn from. My number has changed (727)288-3332

I would like to have my own gourmet donuts shop at the beach, with a beach front, like in a arcade, or maybe boardwalk, and I would sell them, for at least $1.00 a piece, and $2.00 for cr me filled or fruit filled ones. It would be small, and with no eat in seating, only to go,ok, and I would only open in the morning, and I would be busy, in the afternoon, cleaning up, or baking, and prepping or shopping for the next day of business, or I would take the afternoon offo to just lay out at the beach, or go fishing, or take nice long walks by the beach! I would open early, and close by midday! I think I could make ka profit, and also could get a lot of tourist, for business customers! I don't want to have a franchise, and it would only be like a European type or style, maybe bavarfian, dacor, or french, cuisine, maybe thats all, and it would only be seasonal, for peak season, then, I would close for the winter or off season, and move my business, to a ski resort location, to sell, at a ski slope, place, untit the ski season is over, and then, return, to the beach for the beach season again! well, that's all for today, thanks, I am just dreaming right now! lol. The name of my donut shop might be Alpine donuts for the winter, and sunshine donuts for the beach?
