Where I live, the closest shop is 20 miles away, unless you want to go to Safeway or Albertson's to purchase. Would like any info on starting a biz from the ground up. Due to the economy in our community, we have had several restaurants go out of business so the opportunity is there, just need to know what to do first. Thank you!

I live in NE, Ohio. It is mostly a farming area but in town it seems to be growing a little. I am thinking about opening a coffee/donut & pastry shop. I think about franchising since they offer so much training, marketing, etc but on the other hand I would like to make my own decisions on decor and what we sell. I have no experience with making donuts and such but I know others that do. I have never owned my own store or restaurant either. Any advice?

Hello! I'm from the country where is only 3-5 donuts cafes and they are always full of customers. My idea is to put one donut trailer in front of shopping mall or in the summer time to the beach. If it shows profit I would like to put up more to different cities and my neighboring country where the donut business is not so common yet. The market would be perfect due to the small offer. If I could get an information about machinery, business plan and estimate amount of money it will take, I would be thankful! Alderis4@msn.com
