    @Gaurang Ganeriwal, yes you need about 50 lacs in hand to start the business because the subsidy will not reach you before the completion. That 25% of the project cost will be arranged by you until you get reimbursed. Timely disbursement of the loan from the banker is a myth here. You proceed from your end and get the money disbursed later so you need arrange at least 10% of the loan amount from your pocket to keep the ball rolling. Another 25% of the investment is your share so all together you need 55% of project cost and you will get 30% from it repaid from the bank and govt later during or after the completion.     We wish to set up Multi Purpose Cold Storage at Gandhidham Kutch for storage capacity ranging from 3000-5000MT. In this area Potatoes are available from Deesa around 300 kms away and onions are available at 400 kms away at Bhavnagar. Local produce is Mango Kesar, Pomegranates and Dates, Banana. We also wish to have Banana ripening chambers in same cold storage. We have already got 2.50 acres of land at gandhidham for same.     @Gopal Garg, gandhidham, kutch, gujrat. You can set up 5000 MT cold storage of Multi chamber type in the 2.5 acre Land .Potatoes and Onion are for Long term storage . But conditions for them are to be different . Horticulture produce are short term storage . Banana ripening can be done for local market. Regarding feasibility consider the rent you can get for these commodity and based upon that make a feasibility report. Cost of Putting are different for different commodity and can be up to 5 Crore.     @arun Gupta You can set bulk cold storage for onion . Multi commodity cold storage for fruit and veritable can be put , milk product can also be stored but regarding pharma cuticles you need to have other standard to fallow. I will suggest you Muticommdodity store for fruit and vegetable , onion can also be included but should have dedicated store for it . The cost of all 5000 MT will be 6 Crore. Ice plant please let me know the ice can no . You can also go for banana ripening.

    @L.S.Upadhyay, For getting land you can contact with your local dealer on some govt. organization which have plot for cold storage , as you said you want to start in sidwan industrial area ,  you can visit their website all the guideline is available. Regarding that you have to apply for plot and get a project report according to the idea of cold storage. Even though cold storage activity does not fall under commercial but  getting the loan from bank and get the subsidy and the procedure is as equal as commercial and use of ammonia fall under industrial . If you are not a farmer and want to give your cold storage on lease better go in commercial way. for a farmer it can be agriculture.     @k.p.saha, Land is sufficient but fund are not. for 5000 MT cold storage you require 4-5 Crore investment. The subsidy part is 55 % , but based upon back to back . So you have at least sufficient fund of 25 % of that amount other than bank finance and working capital.

    @govinda agrawal, There are two basic type of cold storage bulk and multicommodity . The land requirement of 5000 MT (metric Ton ) of cold storage is around 2 acre. The CA cold storage is advance type of cold storage used in india for apple. There is not of information available at various indian and international web site.
