How to Start a Career in SAP

SAP is considered one of the most sought after job description expertise to date as many employers seek for IT professionals that are well abreast and educated with SAP.

SAP is considered one of the largest European software Enterprise.

Founded in 1972 it was known as Systemanalyse and Programmentwicklung by five former IBM engineers namely Dietmar Hopp, Hasso Plattner, Hans Werner Hector and Klays Tschira, and later changed to Systeme, Andwendungen and Produkte in der Datenverarbeitung or Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing. Throughout the years it has since evolved from SAP, SAP GmbH to SAP AG as it developed well into the Frankfurt and Stuttgart stock exchange. It was considered part of the DAZ in the German stock index in 1995 and later as part of the Dow Jones in STOXX 50.

With SAP one can become candidate to a variety of new experiences and job descriptions. Courses usually handle typical overviews of SAP including some related general business management and accountancy, from which prior educational or work related experience in which will prove useful. One need not learn a course in the classroom though as these types are considered quite costly and expensive. Therefore people opt for learning on the job or at the expense of the current company they are employed in. This is why most organizations and businesses have in house training for particular employees. As mentioned earlier SAP is considered an important technical asset in terms of skills and education for the IT professional and business and technical related professions alike,

Many people obtain a successful career in SAP after applying for certification. Naturally today’s world opts for those that are initially good on paper before even considering your skills without enough hard evidence. This is why in the challenging hiring market one must possess enough certifications to be considered as a potential candidate for employment. Work on this initially and practice and brush up on your skills once you have entered your desired job. Otherwise you may even consider volunteering at a particular firm or institution that is in need of SAP consultants, in order to garner enough hands on experience.

To consider certification one must first have a direct working relation with SAP to be considered as an independent consultant. There are currently two factors you must consider to become successful as SAP consultant, you must have enough skill and hands on experience handling SAP and enough projects and references from clients to backup your claim. It is with this sort of background that people considering SAP will make it very successful. Though certification will land you the attractiveness when applying for jobs related to SAP consulting, it is the skill and experience obtained from it that will keep you in your key position. So it is best to continue educating ones self in this aspect through the course of time. There always exists new innovations and update with SAP and it is best to keep with the changing and modernization.
