Then, you decide where you want to outsource your production, which will help you determine your cost/benefit analysis.     Osaka, Japan. Starting out doing a men's shoulder bag targeting only Japanese men because Western men would not wear such a thing. High-end, good quality leather manufacturers in Japan that work with other factories in Asia would be preferred. I would like the finished product to read "Made in Japan". What are typical costs of making a sample, in bovine leather? a ball park idea would be good. I am thinking that it may cost upwards of $300 for one sample but then costs per unit would decrease given multiple orders and the patterns would already be done.
