It all started after years of looking for a special kind of bags but I never found them.     Hi @Jennie, Creating handbag designs can be a little tricky but there are certian kinds of software you can familiarize yourself with if you are thinking about learning to create creative designs. Some of the programs we use in our design office are Adobe Photoshop CS versions, Illustrator CS4, In-Design CS4 and dreamweaver CS4. Each one has it's own specialized usage so try and find someone who can help you understand the benefits of each. They are pricey and usually complicated but there are classes you can take that would help teach you what they need to know.

    Creating a handbag line is fun but try and speak to someone in the industry, handbag factories can also be a challenge because there are a lot of things you need to consider such as the manufacturing country, shipping and freight, sourcing your materials, marketing your product etc. Feel free to visit our blog at VOILAPedias.com for more information on starting your own handbag line, we also offer complementary consultations if you have any questions.  Although our company manufactures handbags for the retail stores, we have created The Entre' Division for start-ups that offers assistance to those who are beginning their venture and need help along the way.     @Dre, Hi, to get started, you will need to talk to a designer about your vision so that they can help you with the inception phase of your idea, together you will identify and create that vision and eventually bring it to life.

    To start, try and find a designer that has an amazing portfolio, but remember designing is about connecting and identifying with your designer as if he/she was an extension of you, it is not enough to just like their work, you will need to connect and relate to your sketch artist in such a way so they can correctly interpret your vision. call us directly, we offer complementary design consultations and would be happy to help you.     HI, I too am looking for a manufacturer for my leather backpack/bag designs. As a mum and new start will initially be looking for a prototype and low mo keeping cost affordable. I have an initial 4 designs I produced in 3D CAD. I live in Scotland and would love the bags to be made in Scotland but I can't find a Scottish factory! This would be a great start up partnership for a Scottish leather worker/seamstress. I'm sure all designers think their idea is a winner but mine is.     My husband Thaddeus Du Bois is working on becoming a nationally known handbag designer. Does anyone have suggestions as to how he can get his name out there? How can he get his line into the right hands? So far we have participated in 2 shows during Boston Fashion Week last month and he has had interviews in the magazines Newport Life and Newport Seen.
