@amit, Starting a spg mill needs heavy investment and needs at least 20 to 25% of  the total project cost as margin money and rest can be obtained from bank. Pl get back with your proposal how much you can invest. As you know today Maha, Guj and MP is the area for growing. As you aware more loan more int burden and pay back will be a constraint and hence the margin money required is a justified and warranted one. The cost will depend on the size and product mainly and location to a extent. The land required depends on size and forthcoming expansion mind and however if you have 5 acres for min will be better and at the same time we have to select the land with min cost as we are not doing real estate. @rushabh mehta Starting a spg mill in Gujarat and maha state now has the advantage of subsidies like int and capital and at the same time each state has its own merits and demerits.Get me your plan of investment and your contacts for sending further dets. land cost in Guj will be more than Maha and hence judiciously the location has to be taken.V.sivarraman Tech const(spg mill projects) Mob--09486430871 and 08012744470

  • Pradip said on March 12, 2013
Respected sirs of this forum. I am Pradip from Surat. I am interested in setting up a cotton spinning mill near Surat. Can you please advice me on the following:
    1) Is Surat a suitable place for setting up a spinning unit
    2) Initially I am looking to invest around 2 crores from my side and rest from bank loan. I am targeting around 4500-5000 spindles. Is it possible to set up this unit considering my investment criteria.
    3) I have been told by many people that 4500 spindle unit is going to be loss making. Is it really the case?
  • v.sivarraman master adviser said on March 12, 2013
@pradip Surat is basically a diamond city wherein now few developments like Tex park is in progress even though the land cost is more. To avail the benefits of govt investment is no ceiling. However going for 4000 to 5000 spls in surat with the capital indicated will not have more advantage as the U% of m/es and man will be less by which the direct cost also will be up.Pl call or mail your dets to exchange more ideas and already i am in touch with few clients in Surat recently for the same purpose.--V.Sivarraman Tech const(spg mill projects) Mob--09486430871 and 08012744470 vsivarraman@gmail.com
