Wish to start a small Scale Industry in Kerala. Think 100 times?
I started the procedure to start an Engineering workshop on my land on 01/9/2012. Instead of hiring an industrial building, I built GI roofed Shed. Let me put up hardships.
Step 1: Make a detailed sketch of the building and its 100-meter radius.
Step 2: Applied to Panchayat for building Construction permit on 20/9/2012. The Panchayat engineer inspected the site and agreed to proceed after a few corrections. Re-draw the sketch and submit it.
Step 3: Applied to DIC for Provisional Certificate. Thanks God! I got it in two days.
Step 4: My request was sent to Senior Town Planner on 05.11.2012. Many times I enquired in person and over the phone. It took six months ( 05.05.2012) to get a reply from that office, that too with a lot of quires.
Step 5: Re-Draw the sketch, clear the quires, and Resubmit on 10.06.2012 to Panchayat. As per other panchayat norms, it took another three months to get the sanction order to build the shed.
Step 6: Need NOC from Health, Pollution Control Board, and Fire Dept! Panchayat was very cooperative. Immediately issued respective letters on 04.11.2013
Step 7: Despite some pushing, I overcame it without any kicks. But it took four months to get NOC from Health & Fire dept...................................... to be continued.
