Lululemon Franchise Information

Lululemon Athletica is a well-known company that sells yoga-inspired athletic clothing.

It manufactures a clothing line and operates worldwide clothing stores from its main offices in Vancouver, Columbia, Canada, and British.

Lululemon Athletica, or just Lululemon, was established by Dennis Wilson in 1998. It is due to the rising female contribution to sports and the belief in yoga as the most favorable way to preserve athletic excellence into advanced age. Wilson set up the very first Lululemon store in Vancouver besides Kitsilano. Before, it had a design studio and retail store. It also shares a room with a starting yoga studio. On August 2008, Lululemon already had 40 stores throughout Canada, 38 stores and display rooms in America, and seven stores and display rooms in Australia. The company is still continuously expanding. It expects to add up stores in 60 more locations in Canada and America for the next two years.

The OQOQO brand was merged into the primary Lululemon product line during the business launch of Ivivva Athletica. It is the latest subordinate that would primarily aim at girls ages 6 to 12.
In 2005, Advent International purchased a 48 percent minority interest in Lululemon for the account of CAD 225 million, and the previous chief of Reebok became the new CEO of Lululemon. The founder of Lululemon now has 42 percent rights, including 10 percent in retail staff stocks and shares. The company also created a deal with Descente of Japan to have Lululemon operations in Japan. It focuses on North American Market. Since December 2010, Christina Day, the previous Co-President of one coffee store, is the chief executive officer of Lululemon.

Last December 2010, Lululemon proclaimed a call back of several of the store’s reusable bags distributed in February 2010. The bags recalled were made in China from a material called polypropylene. This material is used in making reusable bags that retailers are distributing. The concerns by Lululemon were because of some reports that the same bags have been assessed to have a high lead concentration.

Initially sold as yoga wear, the brand is better known by consumers as well-fitting calisthenics clothing usually worn in the gym, at home, and on airplanes.

Lululemon's primary industrial unit is in Vancouver, Canada, and British Columbia. During 2004, its fabrication increased outside Canada, and it now has industrial units in America, China, India, Indonesia, Peru, Israel, and Taiwan.

Lululemon has a policy from its principle and convinces staff and other employees to follow these principles daily. Lululemon also provides employees with free yoga classes, health assistance, and growth chance. The corporation also compensates the management staff and another employee who has worked for over a year.

I am interested in information on a Lululemon franchise. The closest store to me is 3 hours away. Our population is 40,000 in Yarmouth Nova Scotia and know it would do great in this location given the long drive to buy the clothing. I see the scuba hoodies on girls as young as 7 years old so obviously the status of lulu starts early. I'd like to have some information on start up coats and franchise costs. Thanks for your time. I look forward to hearing from you

We have an interest in The Plaza , Kansas City, Mo. for a franchise carrying both the Adult and childrens lines. This is a well known Kansas City attraction for visitors and locals for quality name brand apparel as well as eating establishments. Another possibility would be Zona Rosa Shopping Center located in N. Kansas City, Mo. I am aware of the grand opening of the Leawood Ks. store and the proximity of the locations is significant enough to allow profitability and ability to reach two highly populated communities. Hi there, I was just wondering what it would take to open a franchise in Medicine Hat, Alberta? The closest area to purchase Lu Lu is in Calgary which is about 3 hours away. Almost every other girl in this city is walking around with a hoodie on some type of product from Lu Lu Lemon. This is growing city with a HUGE demand for this product! Love it ! Thank you. Sierra :)

I'm interested in the lululemon franchise. I live in Edmonton alberta. I own my own building downtown, right across from Grant MacEwan university. Heart of downtown. The location will be ideal for that type of business not only it's close to the university and Norquest college but also this is were all the action going to be! Right on 108 street( capital boulevard) and blocks away from the downtown arena. If you could get back to me with all the requested details in regards to the franchise, that will be appreciated. Look forward to hear from you soon. Thanks. Rana

Hello my name is Justin and i am very interested in some info on a lululemon franchise. I live in the Comox Vally on Vancouver Island. As you know there is only one store on the whole island, in Victoria, 3 1/2 hours away. The Comox Vally is only 45 mins from Nanaimo and 20 min from Campbell River a great central location. With a combined population of over 250,000 in a one hour stretch. My wife and many of here friends travel all the way to Victoria to get the only product they want, Lululemon and there thousands more just like them. Thanks for your time Justin

I am a Vancouver born Canadian, living with my family in Copenhagen Denmark. My partner and I own and run Urban Health which is an alternative medicine clinic with a focus on chinese medicine, cranio sacral therapy and massage therapy. We are looking at opening our third location with a focus on yoga and healthy lifestyles. I was living in kitsilano when the first lululemon opened and have been loving the product ever since. I am interested in opening a lululemon location attached to my existing clinic or selling you product in our current locations. As I can see you are not in Europe at this time, I would very much like to help bring lululemon to Europe. Looking forward to hearing from you. Yours in Health, Laura Karslund. Urban Health
