  • OONYU STEPHEN said on September 6, 2021
Hello, my name's Oonyu Stephen from Soroti, Uganda. I have started an Agro demonstration center where I need to grow 250 banana plants. Two compound fish ponds contain 5000 fish,2000 pineapples, 1000 rabbits,80 oranges, and 1000 local chickens and turkeys. All these are to be on a two-and-a-half acre of land. I already have 150 bananas, one fish pond with 1000 catfish, 80 oranges, and 1000 pineapples. My biggest challenge is water source security and rabbit and chicken houses funding. Therefore, I request a grant of $ 30,000 for purchasing a more powerful solar pump, constructing a 100 cubic liter water tank, adding another fish pond, and installing a security system. This demonstration site Will be used to motivate the unemployed youths, those with small parcels of land, and older people not to depend on their childer which is common in our setting and brings conflict in families. I will be very grateful if my request is met. I can provide information on what I am already doing if needed. I thank you.

I am a Ugandan, living in Bugiri, located in Eastern Uganda. I am interested in starting a farm for goats and poultry. I bought 7 acres of land and fenced 2 acres( using chain link) out of the 7. I have planned to use these 2 acres for poultry-free range and the remaining for goat rearing. Already, I have started by rearing 20 local birds. I have constructed a shelter for the birds, which needs expansion. I have also drilled a borehole to provide water on the farm. I have also constructed a simple shelter for the person to care for the farm. Is it possible to get financial support to expand my farm, and where can I access it and how? Please help
