US President Barack Obama expressed his joy after the Congress passed the stimulus bill on Friday. With this event, the President said he will immediately sign the economic measure which can help businesses and companies get back on its feet while providing millions of job opportunities to people especially those laid-off workers.

President Barack Obama said he will immediately sign the stimulus bill which can boost the ailing US economy and inject money to recession-hit industries for its fast recovery.

During the weekly presidential address, Obama said he will immediately sign the stimulus bill to help various industries to get back on its feet which can also result to more job opportunities for millions people especially those laid-off workers.

Obama also referred to the newly passed stimulus bill as a “major milestone towards the country’s recovery” from the recession which started last year when credit-crunch hit the banking system and the housing industry collapsed.

In an interview, Democrat senator Max Baucus, one of the leaders of the economic measure, said the stimulus bill is expected to create millions of jobs for Americans while helping companies and businesses recover from the recession.

Despite the stimulus bill imminent passage, Obama warned that this will not completely resolve the whole economic problem as there should be other succeeding plans to be made to stop the worsening economic recession.

On Friday, the Congress passed the $787 billion economic package after weeks of discussion between the President and lawmakers.
