Mediacom to Handle Yum! Brands Ad Campaign

To beef up its marketing and advertising campaign, Yum! Brands which owns fast food chains such as Pizza Hut and KFC has recently made an agreement with media agency Mediacom which has cost the company nearly $40 million.

In an effort to boost its sales through a massive advertising campaign in Australia, Yum! Brands, which owns restaurant giants like KFC and Pizza Hut, has signed an agreement with Mediacom agency.

According to reports, Yum! spent nearly $40 million for this agreement which is expected to reach a broader market and build a strong customer loyalty through advertising.

In an interview with reporters, MediaCom chief strategic officer in Australia Matt Baxter said the company is still considering "to beef up its digital advertising campaign in order to reach a broader market". But whatever kind of advertising techniques are adopted, the official said that these will be in line with the current landscape in the market.

"We will look a the historical strategic direction in order for the company to decide the best strategies which must be implemented…we will also carefully examine the appropriate level of investment such as sponsorship deals, media and channels to be used, and the best possible price for the clients", Baxter said.

To pave way for an aggressive marketing strategy, Mediacom said it will work with two creative agencies, M&C Saatchi to handle Pizza Hut's campaign and Ogilvy for KFC.

When asked about the other details of Mediacom's marketing and advertising campaign, the media agency declined to give further information.

MediaCom is one of the largest media agencies in the world and is operating in 89 countries with more than a hundred offices.

Meanwhile, Carat used to handle Yum!'s advertising campaign in Australia for 10 years.
