You see, one of the keys to success when operating a business is that you love it. That is why you are going to do everything in your power to nurture, improve, and take care of it.

As what you have observed, most of the post cards show landscape and landmarks. One of the reasons for this is that people looking your post cards with different landscapes and landmarks, they can immediately remember the places they have gone to and associate it with your postcards. That way, they will be encouraged to buy your post card items. Since it involves a lot of picture taking, the main equipment that you need in starting your business is a camera. You can have a digital camera used, but professional cameras are more preferable to use since they enhance the beauty of your pictures. Other things that you will need are computer with internet connection, printer, and stamina as well as budget to travel.

The Essential Steps

When planning to start your very own post card business, the first step that you must do is to take as many pictures as you want. Since you are just starting, the best and most practical way to save money is to take all the landmarks and beautiful landscapes in your city. Once done, bring them all home and upload them to your computer. This way, you can easily delete all the pictures that you don’t need and those that didn’t go well. The next part is the going to be the difficult part. Once done with sorting out the pictures, you will have to edit them to bring out the colors and other features of the photo. In this case, you are going to need a photo editing software. Aside from editing your photos, you can use these types of software to add your copyright and the location of the photo. There is also software specifically designed to print post cards. Try researching this software and acquire it.

The next thing for you to do is to create a template for the back of your post card. Then print your postcards. In this situation, you have to tell your printer to print one photo first to try its quality. If satisfied, that is the time you print all of the images then, sell them

I plan to do my business, which is creating my scenery pictures, turning them to postcards to sell. I have not any experience but I am very eager to learn. I am told from family and friends that I should because I take and seem to get some beautiful scenery. I also think I would enjoy it. Also an income is another reason, and at home. I live in the Phoenix, AZ. area of the USA.

What about copy right on the pictures? Do you just add the © to each photograph? or do you have to register them?

Do you have information on printers? Or self printing?
