More Jobs for Americans under Stimulus Package

Obama administration looking for More Options in Job Creation

Summary: White House officials on Sunday said that there are more jobs being created for the Americans under the $787 billion stimulus package of President Barack Obama.

However, analysts said that the president and his advisers should pick all the right moves and should not make mistakes with its implementation or the US will fall into another recession.

White House officials on Sunday said that US President Barack Obama is seriously considering all options available in creating jobs for Americans displaced by the recession.

In a statement, White House senior adviser Valerie Jarrett said jobs creation was among the priorities of the president as he tried to pullout the US economy from the deep slump of the recession while dealing with the highest deficit in US history.

“The situation for the US has become more serious with a record national deficit, which we should bring down along with the all out effort to improve the economy,” she said.

Jarrett said that more than half of the $787 billion stimulus package has yet to be spent, adding that they are weighing all possible options, including another stimulus package for the vital industries.

To date, some 9.8 percent of Americans were unemployed and deficit reached record high of $1.4 trillion. The US national budget, on the other hand, has a debt of $11.9 million.

Analysts expressed deep concern over the proposed jobs creation, saying that the Obama government should pick the right options and “should not make mistakes in the implementation” or the US economy will fall into another recession.
