Playmates beware! A new bunny has hit the cover of Playboy Magazine

Summary: Marge Simpson, the proud mother of three and the famous mom in “The Simpsons” TV show, posed for Playboy. It was also the first time that the biggest and most popular men’s magazine has landed a cartoon character on its cover, which will surely make Marge’s husband Homer and son Bart proud of her.

The November Playboy issue is complete with interview, data sheet, and a 2-page centerfold.

Popular men’s magazine Playboy did what no magazine has done before. It has landed Marge Simpson in the cover of its November issue.

According to Playboy editorial director James Jellinek, the theme of putting Marge in the cover of the world’s most popular men’s magazine made prefect sense, especially with the famous “The Simpsons” celebrating its 20th television anniversary.

For more than 50 years, it was the only time that Playboy did a cover with a cartoon character on it. The “Marge Bares All” Playboy issue is set to hit newsstands on October 16.

Asked whether how much of the famous cartoon character was shown in the November issue, Jellinek simply replied that fans of the magazine and the show will be proud of her.

According to Jellinek, the November issue includes complete information sheet about Marge, an interview fact sheet, and a 2-page centerfold.

With the launching of the “collectors’ item” November 2009 Playboy issue, Marge will also be catapulted to the “stars” along with popular cover girls like Marilyn Monroe, Cindy Crawford, and Pamela Anderson.

“We are both proud and pleased with the words that came out of her mouth,” Jellinek said, referring to the interview done with Marge at the Playboy headquarters in Chicago.

He added that the magazine issue will surely attack younger readers, while not alienating the older (35-years old and above) readers.

To date, Playboy has an average of 2.6 million magazine sales since 2006, a circulation slip from its current 3.15 million due to the proliferation of the Internet.
