    @satya narayan singh, as far as I know Odisha is a huge market for rice and byproducts of rice. What size is your manufacturing unit? Probably you need more marketing strategies than looking for new market, it is just my guess. Let me know more about your mill to advice you better.

    Sir, I have around 25 acre of irrigated paddy cultivating land in karnataka state & given lease to others, yielding is approximate 45 -50 bag (75kg)per acre.     @aman chhabra, raw or boiled rice mill? It depends on your buyer market. If you plan to sell it to the local market then go for a survey to find what kind of rice is mostly sold in the market. A raw rice plant will cost you less than the boiled rice mill. Normally 1 acre land is required for a 1 ton/hr plant so you can calculate accordingly.

    @MONORANJAN DAS, capital for a rice mill depends on the size of the plant. It will cost you about 4-5 crores rupees for a 4 ton/hr boiled rice mill. This includes working capital. There are million factors involved in figuring out the cost of the mill so you need to come with your investment amount first so that I can tell you whether a rice mill is possible in that amount or not.

    2. New rice shop govt licenses apply sales tax, food dept and municipality.     Hello! Giving advice, taking advice and starting new business is comparatively easy . But, the most important thing is , to think are:
    1. thinking about handling basic risks and how to handle them .
    2. how to handle initial stages if there is no profit .
    3. how to handle proper and trustworthy labor .
    I see many of you writing posts about what investment is needed, what to consider, but the real entrepreneur is one who , also thinks and plans the initial risks and returns and ways to handle them .     @Raghav, Dear Raghav, i have lot of experience in parboiled rice mill industry. I have done own mill construction also but my good luck is not with me. I am very straight forward , i am not adjusting for wrong ways and corruptions that way unable to do partnerships also. Presently i am happy in good job. Next year I am planning to construct new rice mill in Maharastra Nanded district.

Good that you are happy with the job only and you had bad luck with businesses and partnerships . you mention your birth date as 1960 , you want to construct rice mill at the age of 53!! I think you are taking wrong decision. anyone, build rice mill at 25/30 and settle at 50 ,you say u build now? r u from Hydrabad or Maharshtra, why build rice mill in maharashtra? when I see ur name, I i think i talk to u before and u r from hyderabd. i am getting knowledge from this discussion
