hi i'm lolit. A friend of mine and me want to start/finance maize farming in eldoret, rift valley, kenya. Can i know how much money would we need for it? If possible may you help me determine how much to spend in each operation like ploughing/digging, weeding, etc. How much the standard labour cost of the area and cost of the average pesticides and fertilizers. Hope you can fed in some info on me. We need it badly. Please help us. Thank you very very much. am Reuben from Mwanza Tanzania. I have a land of about 10 acres just 200 meters from the lake. I have planned to grow maize as from July, which the driest season. Irrigation is the means if watering the land. Can you advise me on: various spacing for optimum yield. Several examples could do me good in this case. The best I could expect is to be referred to plant population per acre and what are the expected yield. Thank you.
