@jagdish No doubt khandwa is a cotton growing area and in my opinion 6000 spls is not going to be a viable unit as your fixed costs are same for higher no of spls upto a limit. @alaska, what is ur investment plan ? do you have any textile know how ? currently Gujarat & maharashtra gov declared very lucrative packages for emerging entrepreneurs in textile. both gov. has declared subsidy in loan interest, exemption in tax upto certain years, subsidy for power etc.. all above subsidy apply to any type of spinning, weaving, knitting, garment units.both gov. have diff. subsidy rates for new and used machines.I recommend you to plan ur investment in gujrat or maharashtra belt where raw material, power and skilled labour is easily available. for any further detail contact - viva.technik@gmail.com

@mehta Nice. gujarat has come out with attractive package benefits for both spg and wvg.Spg and wvg is going to be the forward integration of Ginning which is avail in plenty in Guj.In dyeing always pollution problems are there and little risk also as initial player. Cotton shirts due to its aesthetic feel more demand is there. High fluctuating market. Study and slow growth. Spinning fast growth and high investment.
