Obtain the right business licenses and register for a business name.

Check with your state on which licenses and permits you need to operate your business. Get your hands on the necessary forms. Make sure you read them first before you fill them out. Then submit these forms to process your licenses. Such forms normally have corresponding fees so be prepared ahead of time. Also consider naming your business.
