Franchising Expert Says Business Has Its Pros and Cons

A franchise consultant on Monday has bared the secrets on how to have a successful business venture that will help people recognize the best franchising opportunities amid the current global financial crisis.
 

In his monthly newsletter, franchise field expert Rick Bisio has laid out some pointers on how to do business whether starting from scratch or purchasing an existing franchise business, stressing that both business venture has its “Pros and Cons” that people need to recognize before investing their money in such commerce.

For people who opt to purchase an existing franchise, Bisio said that businessmen should know the following: know what suits them, this criterion includes affordability, franchise location, and personal skills; start up business is always cheaper than buying an up-and-running franchise; complexity of owning an existing franchise, which includes total investment cost and problems in running the business; and pre-owned business already has problems that will be passed to the buyers.

But Bisio said that an existing business also has several advantages should the people find a suitable franchise for them, these include: loyal clients; experienced employees; good location; and a possible positive cash flow return.

The expert believe that both has business ventures has its advantages and disadvantages, however the franchisees are the ones responsible for their choice.
