Bell Canada Is Launching Cellphone Network

Summary: In collaboration with Telus, Bell has built a billion dollar network that will give customers high-speed wireless connectivity.

On Wednesday, the anticipated cellphone network of Bell Canada is going to be launched. This date of launching is actually one day ahead of Telus, its partner in construction.

According to the company, data transfer speed capabilities of the High Speed Packet Access network will be up to 21 megabits per second. Ninety-three per cent of the population is expected to be covered, added by Bell last Monday.

In collaboration with its rival company Telus, the network was built with a $1 billion cost. Even though Bell will have to carry the iPhone, it is still not sure to where the company with launch in conjunction with the said network. The monthly pricing of the popular was not yet announced by both companies. For the new network, there are several devices that has already been announced by Bell and to name some, it includes Samsung Omnia II, Blackberry Bold 9700, Nokia 6350, Nokia 2730, MiFi 2372 mobile hotspot, and the Novatel U999 Turbo Stick.
