If you are planning to become a CSI agent, this is your chance. Before you even consider in becoming a CSI agent, you have to know the duties and responsibilities it involves. The duties and job requirements vary and it is usually influenced by the geographic location and agency. For college, you will need to enroll at a respected university and take up a related program or course like criminal justice. There are times when a GED or high school diploma can get you hired in a criminal justice job but if you want to be among the best candidates, you will need to finish your bachelor’s degree. Among the courses that you can focus on are law enforcement, science and psychology, private security, crime analysis, fraud investigation, and CSI. For those who prefer working in crime laboratories, you can take up chemistry or biology courses.

Internship

You might want to consider internship with the local police. Hands on experience can put you at an advantage. You will also become more familiar with crime scenes, in collecting pieces of evidence, and other related tasks. Working with superior officers is a great way to enhance your knowledge in crime scene investigation. Prepare your resume and submit it at the appropriate agency. You can also request for an interview once you’re already equipped with the needed knowledge, techniques, and basics.

When applying to become a CSI, you have to show your superior that you can become an asset of the agency. Find working opportunities locally or you can also try searching for jobs in other states or countries. You can try looking for jobs at FBI, Bureau of Alcohol, and other agencies. You have to ensure that you possess mental and physical strength and you should be self motivated. You should have knowledge in using cameras, fingerprint technology, and other special gadgets.     St.louis, MO. i love watching csi and law and order. I watch it every day and i have decided that when i grow up i would love to be a csi agent but the only problem is that i absolutely hate science. can i still be a csi agent? is there another field i could work in?

    i would love to become a csi to, i've already decided what fields i'm thinking of doing: field identification specialist, forensic photographer, firearms examiner, or latent print examiner. I've also already researched a ton of stuff about this topic and I find all of it VERY interesting! wish me luck on my future career!!:)

    i am from Delhi ON and i would love to become a csi agent because i am very interesting in it, especially of how they find all the evidence with all these different tools...and i especially love anything to do with danger...so wish me luck on my future job...thats bring guys and girls to justice :)

    You have to work hard in school to become a CSI. It is NOT like it is on television. I would suggest that you read everything you can on what area(s) interest you. To Chelsea, a private investigator is more of what you want. Try looking up the Locator.

    Hi. I'm from Europe and I wanna know can I be csi agent after criminology collage? Chemie and biology isn't my strong side, so I'll would be agent, but need know did complicated come from Europe and work in USA. I think, I wish come in USA and work like agent in csi. Have I any chance?

    I Love CSI And I Want To Become A Agent , I Hate Science But I Guess I Will Have To Improve . I Am NOT Changing My Career Just Because I Hate A Particular Subject. I Really Dont Want To Starr Off As A Police Officer. I Will Have A Degree In Forensic Science & Criminal Justice As Required To Become A CSI Agent. It Is My Only Occupation That I Want To Be No One Can Change This Decision.
