Please tell me how to get started, what I need to know, and what licenses, and permits I must obtain. Eventually I'm hoping to sell my products in stores. Please help me get started.

I wanted to make a friend of mine her wedding cake however the establishment where her wedding is held in Massachusetts states I must be licensed (I am also a MA resident). The Mass.gov websites link is broken as well and I am not having much luck. I would appreciate any information you could refer me to get this moving in the right direction and since this is my home does the licensing allow for pets if I can show proof of the animal being restrained from the kitchen? Thank you!

I would like to start an online baking business out of my home in massachusetts. I am wondering what kinds of permits I need, if having an animal in home is a problem, and where I could find packaging material; also what the best mail carrier would be to use? Also, can a person truly keep the preservatives out of baking and still deliver a safe product for consumption? Thanks, Kathy
